Cursive LA is a public artwork inspired by the character and diversity of Los Angeles. Using the abbreviation “LA,” the piece links the nine selected park sites through a shared visual language.

The looping, knotted forms suggest the bringing together of people, community, and culture. Each sculptural tubular bench shaped as the letters “L” and “A” invites park goers to sit, lean, and gather in creative ways.
